You're talking to an audience who hunt for D.U.C.K.s, hidden mice, etc.!
I even tried checking out the code with a couple of UPC databases on the
web, hoping to say that the codes were actually those of, say, Acme Swofs,
but they didn't know this code. I don't suppose you remember from what
kind of product it was taken?
