I think it's Don making a joke to himself - And I think that
having read all the versions so far. The danish, swedish, norwegian and
german.
Only one of these didn't have this text referring, as I see it, to the
fact that not even
this story fitted totally with the blue prints - as the bin will always
look as it needs to
do in a given story.
