Thanks for the reply & the useful info re Strobl. A number of leads to
follow up.

Off topic, I also  found the dialect/accent discussion fascinating.
Particularly interesting  were your comments on the early influences on US
dialects as  I now live in the English West Country, near Bristol.  I am
also  keen on finding out how the Texan drawl evolved.
