Publication of Disney comics in the US?

It is time for my biannual question. Does anyone have an update on
publication of Disney comics in the US? What is the status of the
negotiations with Steve Geppi/Diamond? If there is no progress is there
some productive way to help such as sending letters or, better e-mails, to
the appropriate Disney officials? Does any one have Michael Eisner's
personal e-mail address?

When you see all the Disney crap, including thousands of publications, that
is produced under licenses, it seems incomprehensible that an agreement
cannot be struck about something as mundane (yet important to some of us) as
comic books.

Is there no one at Disney that recognizes that for a generation (albeit an
older generation) that Disney was synonymous with the best and most popular
comic books in this country? Do they ever look at newsstands in foreign
countries and see the racks filled with Disney comics and wonder "gee,
whatever happened to Disney comic at home"? Do they even know or care that
a new Duck master, Don Rosa, is actively working but is not even published
in his native tongue and homeland?
