Disney Adventures vol 13, no 2 (March 2002)

Continuing my listing of what's in this month's issue
of the only current source for Disney comics in
America...

Matt Feazel's content page doodles (Dizzy Adventures) are
given story code JZ709.

A two-page article asking readers to select a new member
of the Jet Pack Pets is given story code JZ711, but it
is in no way a comic book story.

1) ¡Mucha Lucha!: "Mucha Madness!", no code, 2 pages.
Story by Warner Bros. Anamation & Steve Behling. Pencils
and inks by Matt Danner/Warner Bros. Anamation.
"¡Mucha Lucha!" is not a Disney property, it is copyright
Warner Bros.

2) Disney's Tall Tales, JZ707, 1 page.
Writing and art by Glenn McCoy.
Characters include Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy.

3) The Hair Pair: no title, JZ708, 1/2 page.
No credits.
"The Hair Pair" is apparently not a Disney property, this
one is marked copyright Charly La Greca. Earlier Hair
Pair strips had no special copyright, leading me to
believe Disney owned it, but that was apparently not the
case.

4) The Proud Family: "Best Laid Floor Plans", no code, 2
pages.
No credits.
Characters include Oscar Proud and Penny Proud.
The art for this story seems to be frames taken from a
Proud Family cartoon.

5) Power Rangers Ninja Storm: "Klezak Attack", JZ710, 2
pages.
Story by John Green. Pencils and inks by Steven Butler.
Characters include Blue Ranger/Tori, Yellow Ranger/Dustin,
Red Ranger/Shane, Lothor and several Klezaks.
I've learned a little bit more about Disney's acqusition of
Saban since the last time the Power Rangers were in DA, and
I have confirmed that Disney is not running Saban as a
seperate division. Disney has dismanteled Saban and
assigned the various Saban properties to different Disney
divisions. I do not know yet if Power Ranger has been
assigned to Disney, or to ABC Family (the two logical
choices). I will watch an episode soon, and see what the
copyright notice at the end says.

6) Little Gloomy: "The Glob!", JZ706, 4 pages.
Story by Landry Quinn Walker. Pencils and inks by Eric
Jones.
"Little Gloomy" is not a Disney property, it is copyright
Landry Quinn Walker & Eric Jones.

7) Jet Pack Pets: "Tiki Trouble", JZ705, 4 pages.
Story by Michael Stewart. Pencils and inks by Scott
Koblish.
"Jet Pack Pets" is not a Disney property, it is copyright
Michael Stewart & Garry Black.

8) The Last Laugh: "Who Are the Cool Pet Pop Stars of
2003?", JZ703, 1 page.
Written by John Green. Art by Charly La Greca.
Yes, I know that is the same story code that was given to
"the Last Laugh" last month.

The cover says there are 20 pages of new comics inside, but
I only count 16.5. If you count the Jet Pack Pets article,
that still just 18.5. Adding "Dizzy Adventures" does't help,
since it is only 1/3 of a page.
