Ha! Can you imagine the Dutch publisher asking Don Rosa to do some
extra art for them? After all what's been said about their attitude to Rosa
and his stories? Nay, the recap pages in the last two mini-comics
('Caballeros' & 'Crusader Kings') are just plain text-pages illustrated
with panels (no new art) clipped from the first part of the story. And
neither did they change the art of page 15 to make it look like a recap
page. What they *did* change, however, was the size of the text-
balloons. Apparently Don's texts are too large too fit in the balloons of a
shrunken comic, so they fabricated new, larger balloons and pasted
them over the original art. I think these balloons must be computer-
generated, since they aren't placed neatly into the art, but with parts of
the original balloons still showing. The straight outlines of some new
balloons are sometimes not put straight to the panel outlines, thereby
creating the impression of a 'double panel outline'. Looks awful.
One good thing about these mini-comics: the cover they used for the
'Caballeros'-story was *Don's original cover*. As far as I know this is
the only time the Dutch editors ever used an original Rosa-cover.
(For Donald Duck Extra and Oom Dagobert they mostly use retraced
Rosa-covers.)
