Hello Mads,

It wasnt Gemstone that produced this book, it was Another Rainbow (Russ
Cochran/Bruce Hamilton).......

The "Carl Barks Fine Art" book you are asking about were made in
exceptional high quality, and the book won (several) industry-awards for
quality, binding - as I recall. If anyone have more details, please let
me know.

The pictures of the oil paintings in the book were made from the actual
oil paintings - which are spread around the US and possibly other
countries too. The pictures were taken by the 50 different photographers
in the US & Canada and Carl Barks also collaborated with color details
etc. Carl Barks approved the final colors for each picture. The binding
of the book is also very special. The edition is limited to 1875 copies
+ (250 Publisher Proof books). Its SIGNED by Carl Barks.

I do not belive even a reprint was tried, that it could be in such high
quality of the book, and it can certainly not be signed by Carl Barks.
The "Fine Art" book was made by collectors to collectors... So they
really cared about the book, and wasnt just in it for the money....

My conclusion is that there will NOT be a reprint of this book - I
simply dont think anyone will try this, as it will be impossible to have
the same HIGH quality !!

My best,

Alex Nielsen

Hi

As Gemstone has plans to reprint CBL, then they might also have plans to
reprint other sold-out items ? I've seen "Mickey Mouse in Color - Deluxe
Edition" listed at www.fantask.dk as an upcoming item! Then I would like
to know if they have plans to print the "Carl Barks Fine Art book" again
?

best wishes,
Mads
