A few days ago someone asked about WDC&S #55, April 1945, in Barks' story
"Donald Learns the Ropes". Specifically, the question was if Donald
referred to
his cousin "Cuthbert Coot", or just Cuthbert, and somehow it was determined
he was a Coot. In the Gladstone Album 5 reprint of Barks' 10-page WDC&S
stories, we see the full name: Page 2, panel 3, Donald says "Only ten
more miles
to Cousin Cuthbert Coot's cattle ranch....", and panel 4, "Hi, cousin
Coot!...."
So later, those constructing family trees decided Cuthbert Coot must be
a grandson or great-grandson of Duckburg's founder Cornelius Coot, and
"the rest is history".
Best
wishes, Larry Giver.
