Thumbing through "Mickey Mouse in Color", I've just found this: "A 1936 or '37 photo of Gottfredson 'working' on a Donald Duck 'Silly Symphony'. there's no record that Gottfredson ever drew the strip, but he may have 'helped out' at times". (p 100) Olivier
