Hallo, Steven Rowe (and all)!
for some reason i feel Moby was created by Del Connell, anybody know for
sure?
Well, his graphic look was created by the "Maestro" Ward Kimball for a TV
show he also directed, "Pacifically Peeking", which aired on TV Oct. 6 1968
(more than an year after Moby's creation, so the books come out before it...
Originally, Ward wanted to call him Peg-Leg Duck and designed him with a
peg-leg, but this idea was changed in order to be politically more correct).
Moby was a sort of testimonial (about the Pacific Ocean Tour), as actually
Ranger Woodloore, Jiminy Cricket or L. Von Drake were.
Moby's voice was provided by Paul Frees.
Porpy and Dimwitty are original comic books creations, probably by Del
Connell.
