My First Disney Comic!

Since some other folks are reminiscing about the first Disney comics that
they ever bought, I've got to share mine too! I love nostalgia! Walt
Disney's Comics and Stories 525 was the first Disney comic that I bought AND
read. I remember that the Milton/Jippes story mostly went over my
eight-year old head. The Pooh gag was great, though, and I loved the last
part of Fallberg and Murray's "The Golden Touch." The first Uncle Scrooge I
ever bought AND read was #226. It reprinted the Cornelius Coot statue
story, and it hooked me on Barks for life!
I say "bought AND read" because my parents would often buy me Gold Key/Dell
comics before, and I would just look a little at the pictures. Then I would
take a pair of scissors and cut out all of the pictures of the characters.
Many, many fine Disney comics met their doom that way. I shudder to think
of those poor lost comics! I know that I chopped up an original printing of
"The Golden Nugget Boat" for sure. Dear me!
So what issues or stories hooked the rest of you?
