Newspaper strips

Does anybody know when Disney stopped making new strips for the newspapers
and began to reprint old gags instead?
I think that Mickey Mouse ended in 1993, but did they also pull out the plug
on Donald Duck at that time?
And are there any "surviving" newspaper strips today, apart from the Mickey
and Donald reprints?
Thanks for the info.
Kind regards
Niels
