Is Gladstone no Scrooge heir?

On 4 September 2003, I wrote about The Doom Diamond (US 70):

Of course, I meant according to this particular story. I'm surprised 
no one jumped on me. I would have deserved it.

There's at least one Barks story in which Gladstone clearly is suggested 
as Scrooge heir. I'm not going to search the storycode. I feel like 
talking to myself in public, lately. (Where is everyone?)
