I think there was at least one in Old California story. Beautiful girl and 
hidalgo (I don't remember their names) were in love and supposed to get 
married, but villain (Porco de Lardo?) was against it and this girl was 
promised to this pig guy. (Very vaguely recollected memories, few years 
since I last read this story).
