does Santa exist?

This discussion is sort of ironic, in that Gemstone Publishing's Mickey
Mouse and Friends #271 (December '04) has *two* Mickey/Santa stories. The
first ("Christmas Story") is from the '47 Firestone giveaway (I'm hearing
the '48 edition is apocryphal - is the '47 edition non-canon as well?), and
the other ("The Santa Skeptic") is a fairly new story.

In both stories Mickey believes in Santa. In the first, he tells Morty and
Ferdie about a trip to the North Pole where he interacts with Santa
personally; in the second, Mickey and Minnie refer to a story where Mickey
and Santa foiled the Phantom Blot's plan to "steal Christmas," and Doc
Static receives a message from Santa.

So, based on what I've seen recently, Mickey and Minnie believe in Santa.
Others may not, but they haven't fought evil villains with the Jolly
Gift-giver, either.

The story code for The Santa Skeptic is D2003-118; I couldn't tell you when
it first appeared in Europe since INDUCKS just went down, but the US edition
is shipping this week.

Hope that helps!
