Hi all! :)
Here are the Gemstone comics due in October from Previews Volume 15 #8:
Donald Duck and Friends #333 --- Carl Barks' classic 1946 Donald Duck
Thanksgiving tale, "Turkey Trouble," leads this issue. Then Mickey Mouse faces
Thanksgiving torubles and his rival Mortimer Mouse in "Party Animus," by Sarah
Kinney and Jesper Madsen. Finally, Michael T. Gilbert and Rodrigues' hilarious
Donald story, "Bargain Hunter," wraps the book. 7x10, 32 pages, FC $2.95
Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge Volume 1: Somewhere in Nowhere TPB --- A unique
collaboration with John Lustig and Pat Block, Carl Barks' last Duck adventure
finally makes its American debut! When Donald tries to get rich in Alaska, he
runs afoul of the ruthless Hamalot McSwine. Then Scrooge and Soapy Slick race
against time in Barks' Klondkie classic "North of the Yukon." SC, 7x10, 64
pages, FC $6.95
Mickey Mouse Adventures #6 --- Mickey teams up with Captain Churchmouse for
Dave Rawson's (is this story from 2015?) pulse-pounding pirate yarn "The Dragon
That Swallows Its Tail!" Next, Donald becomes "The 4-D Duck" in a sci-fi epic
by Michael T. Gilbert (Mr. Monster). Finally, Italian author Carlo Panero
sets Mickey to exorcising the spooky "Secret of the Old Mansion." SC, 5x7, 128
pages, FC $7.95
Mickey Mouse and Friends #282 --- "Treasure of Sierra Motty," a two-part
Mickey adventure by Stefan Petrucha and Rodrigues, is presented in its entirety in
this issue. Join Mickey and Minnie as they try to rescue Minnie's childhood
babysitter from the clutches of Eli Squinch. "Penalty Problems," a Morty and
Ferdie soccer story, wraps the book. 7x10, 32 pages, FC $2.95
Uncle Scrooge #347 --- Don Rosa's long-awaited sequel to Carl Barks'
"Forbidden Valley," entitled, appropriately, "Return to Forbidden Valley," is the lead
deature and the subject for the cover of this issue. Join Scrooge and the
boys in an exciting Jurassic Park type adventure. Stories starring Donald, The
Beagles, and Fethry are also included. SC, 7x10, 64 pages, FC $6.95
Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #662 --- Donald Duck stars in William Van
Horn's "To Well and Back," then Mickey in "Vacation Brake!" by Dave Rawson and
Feroli. Mau Heymans and Dick Matena offer Neighbor Jones and Big Bad Wolf
adventures. Fethry Duck meets sociopathic hillbilly Hard Haid Moe in Kinney's and
Hubbard's "It's Music?" And more! SC, 7x10, 64 pages, FC $6.95
I thought the Volume 1 attached to the Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge TPB was
interesting. Any hints on the what and when of Volume 2? Anyway, looks like a
promising month overall.
