First Italian translation, 1967 (reprinted in 1995):
"Veleggiar in alto mar
e' come in cielo volar!
Perche' sono cosi' sfortunato?
Con il mio arco l'albatro ho centrato!"
==>
"To sail the high seas
is like flying in the sky!
Why am I so unlucky?
With my bow I shot the albatross!"

Second Italian translation, 2001:
"Ti salvi Iddio, o antico marinaio,
dai demoni che si' ti perseguitano!
Perche' mi guardi cosi'?
La mia balestra l'albatro colpi'!"
==>
literal translation of Coleridge's lines, probably made for the occasion by
the story's translator (but I'll have to check).

In both translations the jury asks Donald to recite two lines from the
"Ancient Mariner", so the Coleridge reference is maintained.

Ciao,
Armando
