In reply to Giancarlo Bassi, I recall that opening panel!  HDL are supposed 
to be in kindergarten class, but the blackboard has an integral calculus 
equation.  It's so incongruous!  But they don't study calculus; it's just 
there on the blackboard in the first panel.  The 10-page story is "Want to 
buy an Island?", from WDC&S 235, April, 1960.
