No, that would not work. An IRC-server seldom serves the http-protocol,
especially not on the IRC-port. As it says on the subject line, this is an
IRC emergency server.

Try an IRC client program instead and let it connect to snude.dk on port
6667 and I promise you would get better results.

There are a lot of good IRC clients for almost every imaginable platform.
