Hi Timo !

No the Swedish book doesn't have this picture byt that is since the art on the first 63 pages are from a totally different story.
The text however is from the correct story.

They really have goofed up here.

The book has 160 pages but the art on the first 63 pages are by Frank Mc Savage. I'll try to describe the story as I think it should be by looking at the pictures of it.

It seems to be a story where Donald gets a letter that makes him happy at first. Then he sees that it really is for Gladstone. Then there is picture of a car and a tree that seems to have been struck by ligthning with all of the ducks standing beside watching. There is a hole in the roof of the car. Then inside the house there are two crooks. One big with a gun and one skinny. Gladstone seems to find money that the crooks are happy about. They are thrown in a van with a lot of bags probably with money in them ? They drive to a boat ( a scooner I think) where they seem to be prisoners of the crooks. They escape or are put to sea in rowboat. Another ship squirts a lot of water on the scooner in some picture.

Does it sound complicated ?
To add further the art is not in correct order but seems to be heavily disordered

Does anyone know what story this art is from ?

The rest of the book seems to have art by Strobl and Mauri Kunnas.

About the book I would say that the value is 1 to 3 euro but on the other hand I would say that you would be extremely lucky to get hold of a copy. I have only seen it twice.

	Ola

Hello Ola!

----- Original Message -----

As a spread (noun, not verb) I meant two facing pages. I'd like to know if Swedish book is translation of this American book:

Does the Swedish book have this picture?

>Do you have the book ...

No I don't have it, but I'd like to have it as a curiosity, since it has drawings by Mauri Kunnas.

Best Wishes
Timo
