Sounds like perfect name for western cattle breeder. If this is some Gottfredson story, I would check up those few western -stories Gottfredson made during 1930's through 1940's. Bat Bandit 1934, Dude Ranch Bandit 1940, Wolf Barker 1933, and probably couple of others.
