One of the most prestigious "clubs" in any society is
its Academy of Sciences. You cannot simply give them
a ring and ask them to make you a member, and
it is not enough to be "very good" in whatever you do.
You need (ostensibly) to be outstandingly clever
in your field at a high international level; someone
inside needs to make a petition to get you inside,
complete with a list of arguments favouring such
a proposal; there's a fierce voting process, where
only the best of the best are finally voted in; and
there's a very strict ceiling on the number of members
(you need someone to conveniently die, or at least
turn 70, before a new membership possibility opens up).

It is a pleasure to report, then, that the Disney Comics
Top Level Expertise Quota for the Norwegian Academy
of Sciences and Letters has now *been doubled*. This
100% increase (from 1 to 2) is caused by the
election-by-voting into the Academy of Øystein Sørensen,
professor of history with the University of Oslo,
and expert on a long range of topics, including,
indeed Disney Comics, Barksology, Rosaeanna,
etc. etc.
