Oldest reported ancestor dates back to 1642! Wow! My congratulations for your work, Per, and thanks for sharing.

  1. Carl Barks's ancestry (Per Starb?ck)
Dear half-forgotten list,

I've added Carl Barks to Wikitree. That is a project "to grow an
accurate single family tree that connects us all and is freely
available to us all." Of a couple of global trees like that it's the
one I trust and like the most.

Carl Barks now has a profile at
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Barks-325 . I've added his wives as
well, but no children since then it's not far to living people, where
Wikitree's excellent privacy policy kicks in. Living people are best
handled by themselves or close relatives, and my aim is instead to go
back in time.

I've added the few ancestors I know of. If there are genealogists who
are interested, please come join me! Wikitree is a single tree meant
for collaboration.

As a Swede I'd be particularly interested if someone knows anything
about Carl's mother's Johnson line, which ought to be of Scandinavian
descent.
