Pedrocchi needs your support

        Dear Folks,

I just read Harry Fluks' letter praising "The Secret of Mars" (DD
286) in an old digest. Well, if some of you liked it, I'm passing the
message around that you'd do well to write to Gladstone and say so.

You see, the art of that story was "off-model" enough in
Disney-Burbank's view, that the only reason it was allowed to be published
was that it was the first DD adventure. Gladstone, myself, and Fabio all
would like to get the second Pedrocchi Duck story ("Reporter
Donald"/"Foreign Correspondent") into print. However, to get this story
approved for reprint by Disney, we need to show that there's a lot of
reader support for Pedrocchi's work to "turn-around" the current situation.
So if you liked "The Secret of Mars," write and say so to Gladstone --
emphasizing that you'd like to see another Pedrocchi story in the future,
perhaps. Disney is worried about the primitive appearance of the art -- a
perfectly legitimate concern. If us fans feel differently -- and I don't
know how all of you feel about the story -- then we should write in
support! Regardez:

Take care, folks. I'll be back again in a week or so.

        Your friend,
