Demontooth Mountain, margarine factory

      Don,

I don't have my Barks material handy. But... isn't Old Demontooth used a second time by Barks... or rather, a *first* time? I don't have the story accessible right now, but isn't it referred to in "The Golden Christmas Tree" as early as 1948? Donald wonders where he'd hide if he were a witch, and then decides-- Demontooth Mountain, that's where.
(I might be totally wrong on this one. If so, forget it.)

As re: the margarine factory, I still think it's a good idea to show the thing among your landmarks. Unlike a lot of Barks landmarks that we fans know, but few others do, the margarine factory is something that *average* Scandinavians and Germans associate with the ducks and would, I think, instantly grin in recognition upon seeing.
And why is it funny? Hey, I'm an American, and it seems darkly funny to *me* to have Donald in this incredibly boring job, on an assembly line, producing a product as unexciting as margarine. It doesn't even have the saving grace of being butter.

David Gerstein (at my alternate address while on vacation)
