Egmont's "canon"

Hi all!

I understand that Egmont't have their own "canon" in many
ways. For instance when some characters, which were often
used previously, now are concidered non-existing in Duckburg
and thus are un-wanted in new Disney Comics done for Egmont.
I think this goes for characters like: Fethry Duck,
Emil Eagle and even Ludwig von Drake.

Can anyone here please tell us more about why this is
happening, and which characters which are concidered
non-existing by Egmont by now?
