The founder of Duckburg.
He was first mentioned in WDC 138
by Carl Barks, where Scrooge and the Maharajah of
Howduyustan were building statues of him. (So, even though he didn't
appear in the stories, his likeness is well-known, anyway.) He was
also mentioned in later Barks stories, for example
WDC 201 where a fountain is dedicated to the memory of
Cornelius Coot who piped mountain water to Duckburg
.
On Don Rosa's Duck Family Tree, Cornelius Coot's son Clinton had two children: Casey Coot (Gus Goose's grandfather) and Grandma Duck.
