Subject: [COMIXSCHOLARS-L] A question on Disney
comics
To: COMIXSCHOLARS-L at lists.ufl.edu
Hello, everyone,
I am writing na article on a Brazilian series and I want to draw a
comparison with Disney comic books.
I have checked some of the books I have and even sites, but maybe I'm
looking at it wrong.
These are quite simple questions:
1. when did Disney books started to indicate the name of the writers and
artists of the stories? And, if possible, why?
2. does this happens only in the Brazilian and Italian editions of the
books, or also in other countries? What about Egmont's books?
3. What about the US? Do the reprints show names? (I guess the
magazines that are derivative of the TV shows do not show names, or do
they?)
Thank you,
Pedro
