I quote Bill Hayes from The Comics List Weekly, Vol. 3 No. 1:
| It's been very gratifying to learn that Gladstone will once again be
| publishing Disney-related characters. Remembering that Gladstone did
| once publish DuckTales, I rather stupidly sent a note to longtime duck
| artist Don Rosa to learn if Gladstone would be picking up Disney comics
| based on current film and video projects. I got my ears pinned back,
| and since I spoke from ignorance, I probably deserved it. From what
| Don Rosa says, Gladstone will be publishing stories about Mickey,
| Donald Duck, Uncle Scrooge, Goofy, and their supporting characters. We
| WILL NOT be seeing DarkWing Duck, LaunchPad McQuack, and other such
| characters in the pages of Uncle Scrooge. In fact, says Don, Mickey
| won't even appear in the same story as Donald. They're from different
| universes, declares Don. And since he's been doing Disney characters
| for years, he should know.
|
| And who will get these characters? Marvel, if anyone does, perhaps for
| one-shots and movie tie-ins. Since Disney had diffculty selling comics
| like DuckTales and Roger Rabbit, it's a good bet we won't be seeing any
| new stories for these characters and others. Reprints anyone?
