I bought U$ 294 last weekend. Some remarks.

DON:
The cover was the cover of the German album, but mirrored. Though the Beagle
Boys' number was corrected, the D.U.C.K. remained mirrored! So apparently,
you decided not to draw exactly the same cover again (like you did with
previous Lo$ covers), but only the portrait in the oval.

About the 1/2-page splash panel on page 10, you once said:
> I've decided I'll redraw those central battleships when
> Gladstone reprints this chapter. The battleships were drawn with great
> pains to make them accurate to 1902,
> but I was so carried away with the authenticity that I forgot that the
> ships were being viewed from atop a tall hill! I drew them as if viewed
> from sea-level. Notice the ships at the sides are drawn with at least
> the proper perspective.

Apparently, you didn't redraw the panel, which is a pity. Did you forget
all about it?

Funny thing about the same panel: Grandpa Beagle is standing to the right
of scrooge. Then in the next panel, he is moving a bit around, so he is
on Scrooge's *left* in the panel after that! In both panels (#1 and #3), the
5 characters are standing perfectly in line. I know you needed the characters
in that order, because of the text balloons. But it looks quite funny,
grandpa moving around as an actor, to say his lines on the proper place.

About page 12: in Germany and Holland, this page was on the right side.
So the surprise ending of this confrontation was only revealed after
turning the page. This effect was lost in the Gladstone version.

DAVID:
The backup story "E.A.T." was not bad. Only one panel had a bad English
text. On the first panel of page 3, Scrooge is clearly dialing a number on
his phone. So it's not logical for him to say "Miss Quackfaster, give me
my head watchman!"

Well, that's all. Still worth my money, despite the ugly cover paper.
(But then again, every Rosa issue is worth my money...)
