GREG and JOHN:
A while ago, we discussed on this list all the Barks stories that were not the
original, because they were censored or (partly) redrawn. It is quite a long
list, actually. I once asked Daniel van Eijmeren to make a file of this
list, that can serve as a FAQ, but he didn't get to it (yet?).
(Well, Daniel? 8-)
"Race to the South Seas" was entirely redrawn by Jippes. A few pages
(probably 1-5 and 10) of "Darkest Africa" were done by Jippes, the rest
was redrawn by Dutchman Dick Vlottes. Vlottes never drew any ducks before
or after that, fortunately.
Also, most of the panels of "Atom Bomb" are in fact redrawings by Jippes.
Jippes redrew other giveaway stories, but better proofs of those were found
later. The only other important re-inked story in the CBLibrary is "Santa's
Stormy Visit", done by someone at Egmont.

Also, Jippes moved to the States at that time, to work for Disney animation.
He may have started the re-inking in about 1978. The story was first published
in Holland in 1982.
BTW, John: what happened to your "DucksEtc." mailbox? I liked that name...
