JYRKI and ALL:
Using the handy "Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies" reference guide to all
the Warner Brothers classic shorts, I discovered that Super Snooper was
released on 11 Nov 1952. Barks' story was in 1949. So Barks pre-dated
the WB short, which isn't to say one copied the other. ("Bob McK..." is
director Robert McKimson, by the way. Written by Tedd Pierce, for all
you fellow WB aficionados out there.)
The Super Snooper, though, in the Daffy Duck cartoon was a detective, not
a super-hero.
