  You point out several important questions when you refer to the 
translation of the Plastic-Mickey story. The space is limited, and 
even if you want to put the language as close to the original as 
possible, the space-limitation makes this difficult. Word-plays are 
of course a night-mare to translate.

   The readers in Norway are supposed to be younger than the readers 
of the Gladstone-magazines. You try to make the language easy to 
read, but it must not be "simple", as you said it was. Actually, a 
few years ago a magazine for teachers in Norway looked at the 
language in the Norwegian  DD weekly, and found it quite complex. For 
the older readers, we try to translate names that have been used one 
time the same way when the person appears again. This is quite a job, 
and takes a lot of time!  

Ole "Roc":

Danish editorial on background of LCoC was first written for Norway. 
The two crooks order Brutopian caviar from room-service, and  Barks 
used Brutopia twice in his stories: In "Swamp of no return yoy find 
the thief of the camera going out of the Brutopian embassy once. In 
"A cold Bargain", Brutopia tried to get hold of the ice ball.
