Harry (to Mike): "Why is it important that Americans make the new
stories? Is that better for the quality of a story? If so, why?"
As an American, it's nice to me because America lacks currently the same
level of enthusiasm for Disney comics generally displayed by Europeans.
American writers give me hope that our enthusiasm might increase.
The quality is not necessarily any better, but when I read a gag or pun, I
know it is the original gag intended by the author. However, fine
translators can make a story just as entertaining as the original.
I enjoy good foreign stories as much as good American stories. But national
pride does kick in a little when I read an original American story.
