Komix also publishes articles, which were sometimes taken from Gladstone
comics or articles on the Internet.
In Europe, "Zio Paperone" is one of the few Disney publications that
print artciles on Disney comics, and (off and on) "Picsou Magazine".
"I Maestri Disney" was a very good title for Disney comics fans, but it
has stopped publication.
Occasionally, one of these three titles publish special issues with many
texts and interesting illustrations. A very good Picsou issue is #269,
with interesting articles on Donald's origins, Taliaferro and others. I
have a special Komix issue which is also very good, with articles on
Massimo De Vita, Scarpa and other Italian artists.
"Zio Paperone" now publishes articles on American artists and writers--
most of them with very rare photos and drawings.
Many of the stories are not new, except new Danish stories by Rota, Van
Horn and others, or new Rosa stories, but most of the Barks stories in
"Picsou" were published in France long ago with a bad translation, and
most of the times, not in their original format. The Greek reprints in
Komix and Italian ones in Zio Paperone must be very good ones too.
