To Jan Follak:

	>The ratings of Rosa's stories in the German "Micky Maus" that you
gave are
really fascinating. "The vigilante of Pizen Bluff" is one of my
favourite
stories by Don, but the kids that buy MM don't seem to think so. Can
you
give an example of a story from last year that was very popular?<

Last year among the most popular stories were Don Rosa's "The Treasure of
the Ten Avatars" and "Escape from Forbidden Valley"; some other outstanding
comics were the cover-story of MM 42 "Die intergalaktischen Spiele"
(Halas/Vicar: Donald takes place in intergalactic Olympic games), the
Italian young-Donald story in MM 19 "Wer ist die Pflaume?"
(Fasano/Barbucci), the first ComG at ng-comic in MM 39 "Das beste Team der
Welt" and most of the Manga-style stories with Barks scripts. There even
were some excellent Mickey-stories, f. e. "König der Eidechsen" in MM 31
(Kinney/Ferioli: Mickey becomes a lizard).

To Anders Christian:

	>But anyway *I* think Don makes his story for the single reader, if
one
person notes that detail about the second-biggest frog, it saves his
day:-) Because that detail was made for that person. so it's for a
	possible minority, not a majority<

No doubt, there are thousands of single adult fans who love both Don
Rosa's historical and his non-historical stories. But sorry, the Egmont
magazines aren't made for them, but for millions of children, and they
clearly prefer the non-historical ones. If adults love to read the magazines
as well, they are welcome. But Egmont can't afford to publish stories just
to please the older readers when these stories aren't accepted by the
majority of the young ones as well.
