MEN IN BACK (mailing list member names): also, English Disney Comics

English-language comics are printed in India.

There have been recent mention about the names used in my story,
MEN IN BACK (D98168; art by Bancells). The names and likenesses
used were related to a few of the list members here. I made no
mention of it ahead of time so as not to draw attention to it, nor
disappoint anyone should it fail to pass, as happened with an
earlier story, PASTAPAZOOM (D96104; also by Bancells), sabotaged
by an Egmont editor and rendered unprintable. I can now apologize
to Augie, Wes and others who in good faith helped me to name a
raft of pastas. I'm sorry to see that such effort will never be
rewarded, as I had promised. I'm also sorry it's taken four years
to find out the story will never be published.
