The first Indiana Pipps story, "I predatori del tempio perduto," was
published in the USA by Disney (when it published its own comics for 3
years) in GOOFY ADVENTURES 12 and 13, in 1991. Dwight Decker wrote the
American script, and intended to call the character Indiana Goof, a literal
translation of the Italian. The editor changed Indiana to Arizona because
the parody seemed "too" close to the original Indiana Jones. GOOFY
ADVENTURES folded soon after, and no more Indiana Pipps stories were
published in the USA.
