The Taliaferro page I wrote one year ago is now the somehow 
"official" Taliaferro site on the internet.
An introduc(k)tion on Al Taliferro should be added
in a few days, written by Kevin Taliaferro, the grandson of 
Al, especially for this page.

There was a question on this mailing list about how to 
pronounce Taliaferro's name. Here I'll quote 
Kevin's reply:

questions that has no right answer. The phonetical
pronunciation(and the way I say it) is tali-a-pharo but if 
you are from the south it is pronounced as Toliver. It does 
not matter which one is used.
