German "Donald Duck Sonderheft", Carol Voges

With the beginning of the new year the traditional german "Donald Duck
Sonderheft" has changed in style and content and is now similar in look to
the French "Picsou" and especially the Italian "Zio Paperone". Before the
change the comic-book mainly centered around Barks or another "good duck
artist", with additional reprints by Vicar and Branca. Now there's a much
broader variety of artists, old ones as well as new ones, which I like a
lot. The lettering in most of the stories now is the same as in "Zio
Paperone", and the Barks' story uses a font looking like Barks' own
lettering.

Here's a list:
D 90345 Don Rosa, Incident at McDuck Tower
WDC 47 early Barks ten-pager
D 93041 Marco Rota
FC 223/1 Barks one-page-gag
S 63099 Tony Strobl
H 87120 Mau Heymans
H 86087 Carol Voges

The last page centers on Gus Goose (or "Franz Gans", as the Germans say) is
a first printing in Germany and my first of impression on the
much-discussed Carol Voges. His drawings look like standard Egmont-stories
from the seventies and aren't that bad.

Best wishes,
Jan
