Barks reference in Smallville tv show

Hi,

Last week's episode of Smallville (in the US), which is about a teenage
Clark Kent (future Superman), some bad guys mention Scrooge McDuck after
robbing Lex Luthor's castle. When talking about how much cash, art and
jewels Luthor has stacked up there, one of them says:

    "If we had gone downstairs we would have probably found a money pit
where he (Lex) swims in the stuff, like that duck with the Irish accent!"
    "Uncle Scrooge"
    "Yeah, yeah"
    "He was Scottish, not Irish!"

I thought it was cool they mentioned Scrooge in a tv show based on another
comic book.
