Fellow Quackeroos:

Here's what hit the Greek news-stands last week:

1) MIKY MAOUS #1840, October 19, 2001
a) The Junior Woodchucks in "Le GM 'terrore' di Paperopoli", from "Topolino"
#1194, 1978 (28 pages). Script: Jerry Siegel; Art: Giorgio Bordini
b) Morty & Ferdie in "Tip e Tap al fotofinish", from "Topolino" #2271, 1999
(26 pages). Script: Diego Fasano; Art: Giuseppe Dalla Santa
c) Gus Goose in "Chiamate Ciccio, l' assagiatore", from "Topolino" #2340,
2000 (13 pages). Script: Diego Fasano; Art: Dario Pennati
d) Goofy in "The Precious Vase" (6 pages). Story code and creators unknown.

2) KLASIKA #169, October/November 2001
a) Uncle Scrooge in "L' ombra ultragalattica", from "Topolino" #1056, 1976
(39 pages). Script: Rodolfo Cimino; Art: Guido Scala
b) Mickey Mouse in "I ribelli di Brilli Frilli", from "Topolino" #659-660,
1968 (60 pages). Script: Guido Martina; Art: Giovan Battista Carpi (My note:
the Goofy in this story is rather weird-looking, with an awkward nose not
very characteristic of the great Carpi. I can only guess either that (1)
Carpi was experimenting with a new Goofy look, or (2) it's the work of an
over-zealous inker. Any insights from our Italian members?)
c) Donald Duck in "La petizione", from "Topolino" #664, 1968 (21 pages).
Script: Carlo Chendi; Art: Giulio Chierchini
d) H, D, & L in "Il folle folle folle folle rapimento", from "Topolino"
#523, 1965 (32 pages). Script: G. G. Dalmasso; Art: Luciano Bottaro.

'Til next week,

Archontis
