At least on 3 Barks' stories Little Helper have problems with the bulb and didn't make any difference to him:
1. Mighty but Miserable (GG Four Color # 1184 May 1961);
2. Roscoe the Robot (U$ # 20 Dec. 1957);
3. The Lost Rabbit's Foot (GG Four Color # 1047 Nov 1959). [On this story, Little Helper take off the bulb to change the battery]
