Publishing in Internet can fully be compared in printing. You say anyone is 
and should be allowed to copy and plagiate texts and other such material 
completely freely from internet? Why do anyone print books? They can be 
quite easily copied too. And if you print books anyone should be allowed to 
copy them freely and print them as their own (sarcasm) :-/

Information is always free. You can go to public library and serch for info. 
Copying material (someone's elses articles etc) is totally different matter.
