The Chickadees

I checked Gerd's references:  WDC&S 181,  260, and 280, and
he has the correct information.  In the first story about the
bridge-building contest,  the Chickadees weren't called Junior
Chickadees, but the "South Duckburg Chickadee Patrol".
Their leader wasn't named in that story, but Donald knew that
she had been in the army engineers.
 When they re-appeared in #260, HDL called them "Junior
Chickadees"; probably Barks thought this more similar to
the "Junior Woodchucks".  Here one of the chickadees called
their leader "Mrs. Ramrodd".  In #280, Barks dropped the
extra "d" and gave her the title "Captain Ramrod".
