Here's what's in this month's issue of Komix:
* Cover by Carl Barks, from Uncle Scrooge #10. I have put a scan of
the cover at http://dias.cti.gr/~kyrimis/pics/komix171.jpg
* Two pages of letters. Among the letters, there is a negative :( reply
to yours truly, concerning whether a character named "Kriton" in
Festival #8 was a reference to me.
* Two pages with "the news of Komix". Among the items is a reference to
Luciano Bottaro's 50th anniversary as a Disney Artist in July,
and a sequel to "Tron", which will be out next year.
* Romano Scarpa's "L' Uomo di Ula Ula" (J 216-B).
* A two page article, titled "A Comics Maestro", subtitled "The
multi-aspect work of Romano Scarpa".
* Don Rosa's "The Curse of Nostrildamus" (AR 143).
* A two-page article, titled "Inspiration, Humor & other Mysteries",
subtitled "Don Rosa presents the Curse of Nostrildamus".
* Marco Rota's "The Talking Totem" (D 96354),
* A one-page ad for Pokemon cards masquerading as an article. Oddly
enough, the accompanying real ad is not adjacent to the article.
* "Jet Job Joes", drawn by Paul Murry, from the May 1950 issue of
Four Color Comics.
Next month's promises to be an interesting issue, with Cavazzano's
adaptation of Fellini's "La Strada", and Don's "Nobody's Business", where
I'm looking forward to see how they've translated the Gladstone-specific
ending.
