Being a digest reader, I don't know if anyone has beaten me to it, but there
is a reference in "The Golden River", where Scrooge remembers "I spent my
childhood scouring the hills of my native Scotland looking for firewood!".
That's what you get for not having read the stories in English originally,
as the Danish translation doesn't mention Scotland and even says he gathered
firewood in the woods.
