There is a town named "Kohlrabi" in California:

Excerpt from town history:
"In 1884 my great great grandfather, Ivan Nabokov, came to the Santa
Teresa Valley and built the first log cabin on Orcutt Ridge, in the
shadow of the great granite bluff called "The Nose". The next year Ivan
planted a seven acres of his family's favorite vegetable, kohlrabi, and
the rest, as they say, is history."
"By 1923 our little town had named itself after this noble vegetable and
the first annual Kohlrabi Days festival was celebrated. Nabokov's Nose
Kohlrabi had become a institution in the world of fine California
produce! When people hear the name Nabokov, they think of kohlrabi!"
