In Naples, at Napoli Comicon exhibition, just yesterday we sent the DD
sunday page 61-09-24, where the LVD picture is drawn. There, if I well
remember, "Vienna" is not mentioned, only Europe. Karp wrote "European
Professor". Through Daisy's words, we learn: "He's a sort of Uncle for
you..." (she talks to Donald).

Here's the Napoli Comicon's caption (in Italian, sorry!) for that page and
the others, close to it.

Sopra, nella tavola di Donald Duck, di Bob Karp e Al Taliaferro, fa la sua
prima comparsa in una vignetta a fumetti (dipinto in un quadro), il
professor Ludwig Von Drake (Pico De Paperis). E¹ il 24 settembre 1961,
giorno stesso del suo debutto in TV, nella serie di show The Wonderful World
of Color, al fianco di Walt Disney in persona.
Al centro, una tavola di Uncle Remus and His Tales of Brer Rabbit, di George
Stallings (testi) e Bill Wright (disegni).
Sotto, The Little King (Il piccolo re): serie apparentemente semplice, ma in
realtà assai sofisticata, creata da Otto Soglow nel 1934.
