 That comic "book" from Rodolphe Töpffer is an american edition of an
european book. Töpffer a Swiss, was making his comics around that time,
after the support words from Goethe himself.

I think comics with differerent types of caption come from prehistoric
times. You can see the Bayeux Tapestry and the Trajano (?) column, but if we
search for an modern comic book we want reach to the thirties...
